Perkiomen Summer offers exciting courses designed to challenge and engage young people throughout the summer months. Participants engage in a variety of exiting academic, creative, and athletic activities allowing students to balance a variety of interests. Campers may study theater while simultaneously practicing critical thinking skills; all the while preparing them for the rigors of the upcoming academic year. The experience of Perkiomen Summer not only promotes academic improvement, but also provides the lasting impression of a memorable summer.

Whether visiting great colleges and universities in the area or working on study habits and organization, students are sure to benefit from what Perk summer has to offer.  Through academic summer programs, students will develop confidence in performing everyday tasks necessary for success in daily academic life.

Perkiomen Summer students will reside in Kriebel Hall, where they will enjoy semi-private, air-conditioned suites. Students will be assigned rooms and may or may not have a roommate, depending on enrollment. All dormitories are equipped with lounge areas in which students can relax and enjoy their free time with their classmates. Students may also have access to the campus computer lab during free period.

While enrolled at Perkiomen Summer, students will have access to the facilities at the Hollenbach Athletic Center including its two gymnasiums and fitness center, the Huttel Natatorium, as well as the Stauffer Tennis Center, and the athletic fields and landscape of the beautiful 165-acre campus. The campus also boasts the newly renovated Student Center at Roberts Hall and school store.

Summer Activities at Perk Summer

Meals
Teachers, Resident Teaching Assistants, and students eat all of their meals in Parents Hall, our air-conditioned, full-service dining hall. All students attend meals and sit with faculty or Resident Teaching Assistants while dining.

Weekends
On the weekends students travel to major cities, as well as museums and sporting events and also enjoy local entertainment. These trips are directly related to the content covered in their daily curriculum.

ESL@PERK

ESL@PERK is an exciting summer experience for English language learners from all over the world. A multi-level ESL program for students entering grades 7 to 11, ESL@PERK offers an innovative curriculum that builds language skills, exposes students to American culture, and provides many hours of fun-filled activities. Students attend classes entirely in English, studying American literature, history, and culture along with math, science, and TOEFL/SAT Prep. Afternoon activities include sports and creative projects. Evening Study Hall is augmented with a Leadership Seminar Class, while off-campus trips to New York City, Washington DC, and Philadelphia enrich the learning experience.
