Life at Pitt State
Students from 45 countries lend an international atmosphere to campus, and celebrations showcasing other cultures are popular campus events. New Student Orientation
All international students attending PSU for the first time are required to participate in the Orientation programs. During Orientation international students are informed about many areas of interest: academic and social matters, registration, enrollment, immigration issues, shopping, banking, housing, campus life and other matters particularly useful for international students.

Study at Pittsburg State University

College of Arts & Sciences

This college is composed of fourteen departments. Most College of Arts and Sciences departments offer a choice of majors or emphases within the department, including the B.S.Ed. degree as well as the B.A. and B.S. degrees, and many departments offer degree programs through the Masters level.

College of Business
The Kelce College of Business is an AACSB accredited school, recognized by the Princeton Review as one of the 296 best business colleges in the nation, one of about 100 schools to be certified in Information Systems Security by the Committee on National Security Systems, and one of 28 colleges that offer a program in Endorsed Internal Auditing.

College of Technology
The College of Technology offers over 15 different program areas to students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree. There are many student organizations to join to help you gain experience and make relationships within your field of study.  Many students also compete in national technology competitions.  In May of 2006, students entered and won the Great Moonbuggy Race competition sponsored by NASA.

College of Education
PSU's College of Education aims to develop professionals pursuing a wide variety of careers, such as psychology, school and community counseling, teaching, special education, school and district leadership, school media specialist, reading specialist, English as a second language instruction, technology integration specialist, recreation, and more.

Honors College
The primary mission of the Honors College is to provide a more meaningful educational experience for select superior students. The curriculum at the freshman-sophomore level offers intellectually stimulating general education courses and junior-senior level students are integrated into the Departmental Academic Honors program.

Admission Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or over
  • A minimum CGPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent in high school
  • Overall band of 6.0 with a minimum score of 5.5 in each band of the IELTS is required. Some areas of study may require a higher IELTS score.
