Immerse yourself in the English language through an exploration of American history and culture. Excursions to three historically significant American cities (New York, Boston, and Philadelphia) will provide opportunities for hands-on experiences, observations and reflection. 

Students live in Storm King School (SKS) dormitories, with 2-3 students per room, under the supervision of SKS staff, and eat in SKS’s renowned dining hall overlooking the majestic Hudson River. Summer students will have access to The Storm King School’s 55 acre campus with 230-seat theater, athletics facilities (basketball courts, tennis courts), hiking trails and beautiful natural surroundings.

OUR LOCATION Students from all over the world come to scenic Storm King Mountain just one hour north of New York City. The Storm King School's 55 acre campus is surrounded by parks and nature preserves.

Optional Activities/Services:

Visits to area universities for students contemplating study in the U.S. after high school. Laundry service. Music Lessons.

The America the Beautiful curriculum relies on learning through experiencing. Participation in real-world projects outside of traditional classrooms focusing on American history, culture, politics and global affairs will provide students the opportunity to constantly practice speaking, listening, reading and writing.

  • TOEFL & SAT Preparation
  • College visits (NYC, Boston, Philadelphia)
  • Vocabulary development and spoken language enrichment labs; Paragraph and college essay writing workshops; Linguistic games
  • Class discussions and Weekly learning portfolios; Individual and group work

Class sizes are small to take advantage of one-on-one instruction and to provide a safe and comfortable environment that allows the student to experiment with their language development.

Upon successful completion of the program, each student will be provided with a detailed report describing their progress and newly acquired skills.

Tuition and Fees for 2018:
US$ 2,000 for one week
US$ 4,500 for session 1

US$ 8,250 for the full Summer 
US$ 100 non-refundable Application Fee
US$ 500 enrollment deposit upon acceptance
