Learn the English Language in Beautiful Coastal Maine

Our summer program will help you become more proficient in English, learn more about American culture, and become familiar with the process of applying to an American college or university. Our two-week or four-week sessions will help make you a better candidate for the school of your choice. For 200 years we have been preparing students for a changing world and we will help prepare you.

At Thornton Academy, we value our small and familial residential community, in which young people and adults learn, work, and play closely together. Weekend activities balance hard work with recreation. Our activities build the international community that we value at Thornton.
